Shakespeare in love.

Living in the Elizabethan times was really restricted if you take into account of what you can and cannot do. There was many things that impact Shakespeare's writing, society, laws, friends, and economy. It wasn't until Shakespeare had to experience first hand physically and emotially that his writings that his writing and life were parallel.

Shakespeare was a noble man and believed in the craft of writing and thearter to make his writing come to life. Society was crucial and demanding, always wanted shakespeare to keep writing so they can make money of his plays. He was also making money, but he didnt always do it for money. He had a passion for it and sometimes ideas didn't flow through his mind naturally. He also had competition so that made matters worse, because the competition would be making plays, while Shakespeare caught writers block.

Friends and economy would also be an issue, because they would get in his way to do a project. Shakespeare not having any money and his friend begging him to do the play, while his mind was on idle, due to writer's block of course. Once his loved one appeared his world changed for the better. He was happy and she was happy, but things got in the way for their love to be openly accepted in society. She was the daughter of the Queen. He was just a noble play writer. Play writers during those times, were not really that famous. though they had a little fame. they were just to entertain the Queen or the towns people. All of this affected or impacted Shakespeare's writing was because everything was practically stripped away from him. Those times women were restricted of their freedom, specially the Queen's daughter. The Queen's daughter was just for business. They would trade her for land, money, etc etc. Shakespeare fell in love with her and that soon was to be taken away, because that couldn't be since she was property of someone else.

Shakespeare was a person that thought a women should have freedom of choice, but knew that couldn't be under the ruling of Queen Elizabeth. His life under those experience was a tragic one and that's what impact his writing and his view of life.

A fine entry. Two things:

1. You are sort of summarizing the film instead of truly answering the question. See a few other blogs so you get an idea of how you could have answered the question differently.

2. You don't have all of your classmates' links. Check my blog for the rest.

One would like to think of shakespeare as someone working for artistic perfection but when you look at it objectively he was doing nothing more than pedaling his efforts and indeed changing them to suit the ignorant and hedonous desires of the "noble" class.
